Koala Kids Club Poster Contest!

In Honor of Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month

The Animal Rescue Superhighway is sponsoring the 2011 “Kaleidoscope of Prevention” Poster Contest in honor of Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month. The contest is a great way to get young students thinking about the issue of animal cruelty, ways to prevent it and offers them a creative outlet to demonstrate their knowledge.

The theme for the 2011 contest is “Kaleidoscope of Prevention.”

This is a new event for the Animal Rescue Superhighway and is open to students in Kindergarten through 6th grade in Jefferson and Harrison Counties in Ohio and Brooke and Hancock Counties in West Virginia.

The contest period is April 1 – 11, 2011.

The Animal Rescue Superhighway, with the help of many local sponsors, will award SIX first place winners, SIX second place winners and SIX third place winners.

Winners will be honored in an official award ceremony on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Froehlich’s Classic Corner in Steubenville, Ohio All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation and membership into Animal Rescue Superhighway’s children’s Humane Program: Koala Kid’s Klub. The top 18 winners will be featured on our website with their winning posters.

A special Guest Appearance will be made at the award ceremony by: Prospect The Dog and his chaffeur, Ed!

The Award Ceremony will have plenty of media coverage and will be open to all participants and their guests.

There will be an opportunity to become Koala Kids Club members on site and other fun opportunities. Hope to see you there!
